What is NuJazz?

Nu Jazz is an umbrella term coined in the late 1990s to refer to music that blends jazz elements with other musical styles, such as funk, soul, electronic dance music, and free improvisation[1]. Also written nü-jazz or NuJazz, it is sometimes called electronic jazz, electro-jazz, e-jazz, jazztronica, jazz house, phusion, "neo-jazz" or future jazz. - Wikipedia

The world of jazz is ever changing and universal. A musical genre defined by its constant evolution, jazz has spawned a multitude of classifications and sub-genres throughout its history. Since it is beginning, jazz has branched out into so many styles and drawn from so many influences that no single description fits all of them with any accuracy. The adaptation of jazz to the rising popularity of electronic music has given rise to a new general classification. As close to a defining, term as there can be for such a diverse genre. This is nujazz - a new era in music, blending ethereal soundscapes with hypnotic rhythms and sensuous instrumentals. An era that, while rich in tradition, firmly embraces the one constant in the long history of jazz... change. - NuJazzChronicles.com
